Children are eligible for services if they have a corrected visual acuity of 20/70 or greater in the best corrected eye. They may also qualify if they have normal acuity but have a visual field loss of 20 degrees or less; or an ophthalmologist recommends services. Services we offer include; functional vision assessments, visual efficiency and low vision skills development, pre-Braille and Braille instruction, consultation services to families and providers, family support services, developmental assessments, IFSP development, Orientation and Mobility, Child Service Coordination, Service Coordination, and staff development. Services are provided in natural environments with a strong emphasis on parental involvement. |
